All of that hard work, repetition, and professional instruction resulted in David earning his commercial driver's license. While he initially kept an open mind about what his new career might look like, he happily ended up working as a local delivery driver.

"I was thinking about doing long-haul trucking initially, but I’m currently doing local deliveries and enjoy it a lot," David shares.

David got a great position as a local driver for Pepsi in Auburn, WA. Local delivery driving is a big benefit for drivers who want the good pay and stability of a CDL career without the lifestyle trade-offs of spending weeks at a time away from home on the road. David gets to utilize the skills he mastered during his Class A Automatic CDL training while staying right here in town, close to his family.

Most importantly, the career switch has delivered on the goal that caused David to look for a change in the first place: true financial growth and career stability.

David’s Advice: Have Patience with Yourself

Looking back on his life-changing experience, David is incredibly grateful that he took the leap into commercial driving, and he regularly encourages others in the community to do the same.
