Week 1: Laying the Groundwork

Welcome to orientation week! In week one we will help you build a solid foundation for your new career. Never sat in a truck before, or zero experience with a manual transmission? No worries! Our professional instructors will teach you everything you need to know. In this 40-hour segment you'll have classrom learning on different aspects of the trade, like basic driving lessons, weight management, pre-trip and post-trip inspections, adverse weather driving, and so on.
You got this!

Week 2: Building Your Skills

Week two gets even more exciting with short session classroom lessons combined with driving time in our modern trucks. We'll teach you how to back up a truck and trailer, city driving, and so on. You'll learn how to properly chain up tires, connect a trailer to your truck, operate different mechanisms on the truck and trailer, and more. We'll show you everything you need to know and then help you practice so you know how to do it yourself. At the end of this week you're halfway there to your new career!

Week 3: Mastering the Manual

Week 3 is centered around giving you maximum hands-on time so that you can exceed both state and federal regulations in driving a class-A vehicle. You'll practice more on city driving and mimic backing up to warehouse docks and parking spots. We'll focus on engraining safe driving practices into your teaching, so that you can confidently get around town and move around warehouse parking lots. You'll become familiar with terms like alley docking, straight back maneuvering, and offset backing and become comfortable with executing them well.

Week 4: Victory Lane!

Congrats, you're almost there! We call this week Victory Lane. You'll demonstrate everything you’ve learned in the course. You'll go through our final testing routine to make sure you're skilled and comfortable and prepared for your new career. Our instructors are here to guide and help you every step of the way. By the end of this week you'll have fully graduated our CDL course and will have all the confidence you need to pass your final exam at the DOL, joining over 1800 of our former students in becoming an officially certified CDL Driver!
